WORLD FIDDLE DAY, 2020:

Are you a classical violinist, eager to show the world how skilled you are with Bach's Complete Sonatas and Partitas? Or are you a bluegrass fiddler, hoping to take another ride on that good ol' Orange Blossom Special? Are you involved in a string quartet? Or do you just want to be part of an all-day jam session, where fiddlers get together for an all-out hoedown?

If you've answered yes to any or all of these questions, you're in for a treat:

Violinists, violists, cellists, double bassists, bass violists, violists da gamba, erhuists --- in short, fiddlers of all sizes, shapes, genres and descriptions are invited to participate in the 7th annual World Fiddle Day, taking place on Saturday, May 16th, 2020. Originating in Dublin, Ireland, and currently enjoying popularity across Toronto, Ontario, Canada, World Fiddle Day is a global, all-inclusve gathering which celebrates the exhiliration, the thrill --- the utter joy of playing a bowed string instrument!
